Job Description
Maintenance Electrician
  • Consumer products manufacturer is hiring for 2 Maintenance Mechanics to join their operation.  They invested in new equipment and are looking for highly skilled mechanics to maintain the equipment properly  
  • Job is on 3rd shift, must be open to working 3rd shift for an extended period of time

Position Responsibilities
  • Connect power supply wires to machines and equipment, and connect cables and wires between machines and equipment.
  • Maintain, repair and troubleshoot all electrical issues related to the manufacturing equipment
  • Project work, PM completion, and work order completion as expected
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures, diagnose problems, replace and repair, detect and replace defective items, test and make final adjustments
  • Replace faulty electrical components of machine; such as relays, switches, motors, encoders, resolvers and positioning sensing devices.
  • Replace motors, bearings and rewire motors.
  • Troubleshoot and program PLC’s (if applicable)
  • Provide technical support for efficient troubleshooting / problem solving activities and maintenance repair to maximize efficiencies and limit downtime
  • Meet plant objectives in safety, quality, cost and customer care
  • Follow safety rules and regulations, participate in safety meetings and suggest ways for continual improvement.
 
Job Qualifications:
  • BS / ASS in maintenance or engineering is preferred or 4+ years of equivalent maintenance training and maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Must have 4+ years of maintenance electrical manufacturing experience.  
  • Knowledge of 3 phase 480V & 240V; Single phase 240V, 277V & 120V; Low voltage DC 24V & 12V beneficial. Capable of converting 3 phase 480V to Single phase 240V
  • Well versed in troubleshooting VFD’s, PLC’s, HMI’s, and robotics.  Able to program PLC’s, servo’s, VFD’s, relays, sensors and switches is preferred
  • Able to read blueprints and schematics is preferred
  • Experience with mechanical troubleshooting is preferred: hydraulics, pneumatics, electric motors, pumps, valves, belts, chains, sprockets, bearings, pulley’s, gearboxes, conveyors, and various other equipment troubleshooting
  • Open to 3rd shift and working weekends when necessary
